The New Kardashian-West Baby Name Has Been Announced

The new Kardashian-West baby name has been announced, and to no one’s surprise, it is just as ridiculous as their first.

In the news, the newest offspring of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has finally blessed the world with its presence, and he has a sacred name to match: Saint West.

No, seriously.

The Kardashian-West baby name announcement was made yesterday afternoon via Twitter. Kim had posted emojis representing her family members, along with the following caption: “SAINT WEST.” Reactions to the eccentric celebrity baby name have so far been mixed; some find it perfectly fitting for the child of two people who arguably have some of the biggest egos in the world, while others are making fun of the couple for essentially canonizing their child.

What were the top betting picks for the new Kardashian-West baby name?

What the newest Kardashian-West baby name would be has been a hot topic discussion among fans of Jeezus and the Kardashian clan since Kim had announced her second pregnancy. Online gambling sites in the US had even gotten in on the action, with many people wagering on what name Kim and Kanye would pick.

While no one predicted ‘Saint’—because really, how could you—there were some popular picks that people were putting money on, with the frontrunners being: South West, Easton West, and Robert West.

Gambling on celebrity baby names is nothing new in the world of weird things to bet on. Just last April there was a betting frenzy on what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would name their newborn daughter, with some gamblers staking as much as £2,000.

Sepp Blatter Bribery Scandal Probed by FBI

Dec 08, 2015 - by admin

The Sepp Blatter bribery scandal grows bigger as more evidence comes to light and an FBI investigation is launched.

In Switzerland gambling news, FIFA president Sepp Blatter is being probed by the FBI over allegations of bribery and corruption. The focal point of the Blatter bribery scandal is the sports marketing company ISL, who paid over $100 million to officials in order to secure lucrative television and marketing rights throughout the 1990s. Blatter denies knowledge of the bribes and continues to take no action, but new evidence from the FBI suggests that his claims are bogus.

A letter has been obtained by the FBI that was written by former FIFA president Joao Havelange. In it Havelange discusses the ISL payments and says that Blatter had “full knowledge of all activities” and was “always apprised” of them. Despite this new proof, Blatter—who says he will step down in 2016—continues to decline to comment on and deny involvement in bribery of any kind.

That said, he is now serving a 90 day suspension from FIFA, and will be taken to court with the sport organization’s ethics judge in mid-December.

Of the Blatter bribery scandal, Damian Collins MP said: “You have to ask yourself why did he seek to protect these people, and not just protect them but allow them to continue to play an active role in some of FIFA’s most important decisions?”

Australia Gambling Market Hits Record High

Dec 08, 2015 - by admin
high gambling revenues n Australia

Good news from down-under

New information from the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows that a record level of Australia gambling had taken place over the 12 months through to September 30.

Casino Mate Australia

In Australia gambling news, a record amount of $24.1 billion was spent on gambling, or $1,000 for every person in the country. The market’s performance in the past year has been above the average 3% annual growth of the last decade, moving up to 6.1%.

Interestingly, while more money is being spent on gambling, there are less people doing so. Says Australian Gambling Research Centre manager Anna Thomas of the phenomenon: “We’ve seen a drop in participation in gambling on a per-capita basis, but the expenditure on gambling hasn’t dropping. What we are seeing is a smaller group of people gambling more heavily.”

Australia gambling billionaire Len Ainsworth, chairman of Ainsworth Game Technology, says that these are “natural” levels of growth. He explains: “There’s a very simple answer: over the last 62 years that I’ve been in the business each year, every year the amount of money that goes into gambling is directly related to the state of the economy. If the economy goes up 5%, you can bet the amount gambled will go up by that or even more.”

The news of the market boost comes at a shaky time, as the Australian government is currently considering new laws that would change the status of in-play online sports betting.

Chelsea to Become Champions Next Year?

Dec 07, 2015 - by Dani

Yeah, it doesn’t look good (Glyn Kirk/AFP/Getty Images )

After Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea suffered their latest setback against Bournemouth on Saturday, a new perspective emerged on the internet about how Chelsea to become champions next year.

Instead of commenting the news, let’s just face the theory:

Of course it is about the Championship, and it seems that Chelsea actually do everything in order to get engaged in the relegation battle as much as it is possible. Chelsea to become champions in the English second-flyer looks funny know, but if they don’t change something in the coming months, it will become even stickier towards May. They are currently 201.00 (200/1) to relegate at the end of the season at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Though Mourinho was previously confirmed as the Blues manager until the end of the season, gambling news reported that if they would eliminate from the Champions League against Porto on Wednesday, Roman Abramovich would instantly sack his friend. Or let say, “Relieve him from his duties”.

Crazy Premier League Results Tricked Punters Again

Dec 07, 2015 - by Dani

disapointed fan

After game… (Photo: Football tickets UAE)

Last weekend was full of crazy Premier League results once again, which didn’t really help bettors who went with the flow and backed the favourites.

The show started with Manchester City going down 2–0 at the Britannia Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent, where the hosts converted their first to shots through Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian winger also hit the post twice in the first half, so the Sky Blues actually lucky to start the second half with only two goals down. They were unable to recover, however.

Later on Saturday afternoon, Leicester City pulled out a confident, 3–0 win away at Swansea, thanks to a hat-trick from Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez. This helped Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester to climb back to the top of the Premier League table, stunning many experts of gambling facts. They are 26.00 (25/1) to win the league according to Bet365 Sportsbook.

Arsenal defeated Sunderland and though it wasn’t a surprise, this meant that two teams have passed City in the weekend, who fell back as down as third on the table. Still, Manuel Pellegrini’s men continue to be favourites to win the Premier League according to gambling news. Bet365 Sportsbook has the best offer for their success with online betting odds of 2.50 (3/2).

Their chances were boosted by Manchester United playing a goalless draw at home against West Ham United. Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils had only one shot on target during the 90 minutes and this stat speaks for itself. Jose Mourinho’s struggling Chelsea, increasingly getting involved in the relegation battle, suffered a 1–0 defeat at home to Bournemouth. Though Mourinho was previously confirmed as Chelsea manager until the end of the season, if it continues like this for them, his position might be reviewed even sooner…

To complete the list of crazy Premier League results, Liverpool suffered a 2–0 away defeat at Newcastle United, second bottom before the weekend. Just after Jürgen Klopp’s Reds were getting considered by more and more punters for the title – they are available for 10.00 (9/1) at Bet365 Sportsbook –, they came out with a performance. that was awful to watch. They might have been unlucky with the refereeing, but a defeat is all whet they deserved for their unimaginative display.

The holiday fixtures will expectedly bring an ever bigger mess, full of crazy Premier League results, and bettors should always consider the underdogs, especially when it’s about Premier League revelations like Leicester City and West Ham United.

The Week in Pictures: November 24 – November 30, 2015

Dec 01, 2015 - by admin

Weekly news in pictures

Last week saw numerous big breaking stories hit the headlines so we take a look back at the most important of the last seven days.

After a Russian SU-24 bomber taking part in ongoing combat operations in Syria supposedly ignored warnings and strayed into Turkish airspace, for 17 seconds or so, patrolling aircraft from the Turkish Air Force shot it down. One pilot was killed, the other recovered. Vladimir Putin reacted angrily to the first such incident between a NATO nation and Russia since the 1950s, imposing sanctions on Turkey. Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan regretted the incident. Moscow demands a full apology.

President Barack Obama once again had cause to call for tighter gun controls in the US last week following a deadly attack on a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs. A policeman and two civilians were killed in the attack which also injured nine others. The president described the attack as having been perpetrated with “an assault weapon” and regretted the “easy accessibility of weapons of war” in the US. Police arrested loner Robert Lewis Dear of Carolina for the attack.

Donald Trump, still the leading Republican candidate for the party’s nomination for the presidential race in 2016, behaved in a manner the New York Times described as “outrageous” last week when he did an impersonation of one of their reporters, Serge Kovaleski, who suffers from a congenital joint condition. Trump had used the work of Mr. Kovaleski to back up his stupid claims “thousands” of Muslims in New Jersey celebrated after 9/11, something the reporter denies inferring in his work.

In sport Andy Murray beat David Goffin of Belgium 6-3 7-5 6-3 to give Great Britain its first Davis Cup trophy since 1936. Team GB won its first title for 79 years after winning the best of five tie in Ghent which saw Jamie Murray win the doubles with his brother. Having achieved so much for British tennis does a knighthood beckon for Andy Murray? You’ll have to read our daily news pages to find out, but in the meantime here’s some of the biggest stories we covered over the last week.

1. 63-year old Avondale resident Cecilia Randel had been named the holder of the sole winning ticket of the $475,000 Louisiana Lottery jackpot.

2. There were a number of exciting Thanksgiving Day NFL games that took place on Thursday, including Philadelphia versus Detroit, Carolina versus Dallas, and Chicago versus Green Bay.

3. Philadelphia is easily the saddest pro sports city in the USA right now, given that its teams in all major sports leagues are doing poorly in games and rankings.

4. A British couple won the £1 million EuroMillions jackpot for the second time in two years, having had first won it in 2013. It was the 10th biggest EuroMillions jackpot to be won in the UK.

5. Despite the huge amount players wagered in Las Vegas, overall gaming revenues dropped in Nevada 2015 October.

Meanwhile “Cards Against Humanity”, manufacturer of the popular game of the same name, offered its customers something different this Black Friday by putting absolutely nothing on sale on their website for the bargain price of $5. The offer, that required takers to tick a check box reading “I understand I am paying Cards Against Humanity $5 and receiving nothing in return”, netted the company $71,000. The company then released an exhaustive and eclectic list of what their staff spent the money on.

Wagers Up But Nevada Gambling Results Down in October

Dec 01, 2015 - by Dani
dropping gambling revenues in las vegas

Is the house losing?

Though sportsbooks recorded the second largest amounts of wagers ever in October, overall Nevada Gambling Results fell back.

Though gamblers wagered more in October than a year ago, Nevada gambling results dropped when comparing to the same month last year, online gambling news report. Las Vegas casinos and other Nevada casino’s had a $887.6 million revenue, which is 2.9 percent shy to the October 2014 Nevada gambling results.

The Washington Times: Nevada gambling results drops to $887.6M in October

The Las Vegas Strip is amongst the biggest loosers with a drop that is over 5% and a revenue of $493.6 million. It is actually no surprise, since there is a tendency of players exploring other parts of the city than the Strip when it comes to gambling.

There was a 22% loss in baccarat revenues, and now it’s down to $79.1 million. This decline was also expected because of the China economic problems and therefore the decrease of Chinese players wagering in Las Vegas. Baccarat’s decline is responsible for the 84% of the drop in Nevada gambling results.

Players actually wagered more money on slot machines and table games in October 2015 than a year ago, $12.1 billion actually, which is 1.8% up, but casinos failed to capitalize on that, so the players were the winners of October.

Covers: October was the second biggest month ever for Nevada sports betting

Sportsbooks actually reported the second-highest wager total ever with $504.6 million in October. The record remains November 2014 with $535 million. October is usually a busy month for Las Vegas sportsbooks, with the the running football season, baseball playoffs and the start of the basketball and hockey seasons.

NFL and college football together contributed $397.8 million to the wagers and $23.6 million to sportsbooks winnings according to Nevada gambling results. Nevada betting operators had a 6.65 winning percentage in October, which is not a bad number at all, taking their revenues to $33.6 million.

Since the 2015 NFL season live sports results had a long list of upsets in November with record breaking revenues, outstanding numbers are expected when the November 2015 Nevada gambling results will be published.

dropping gambling revenues in las vegas

UK Couple Wins Second GBP 1 Million EuroMillions Jackpot in Two Years

Nov 29, 2015 - by Katrina P.
couple winning lottery twice

They look like they got married in the meantime…

Lightning really does strike twice—at least it did for David and Kathleen Long, who’ve won the £1 million EuroMillions jackpot for the second time in two years.

In UK gambling news almost too incredible to believe, David and Kathleen Long of Scunthorpe, England, have won their second £1 million EuroMillions jackpot. The lucky lottery winners in UK beat odds of 283 billion to 1 to win the tenth biggest EuroMillions jackpot to be awarded in Great Britain.

A spokesman for UK national lottery company Camelot said that: “This is an extraordinary situation where somebody’s been fortunate enough to win twice. As you can imagine, we see winners who win once who are very, very shocked. It must be even more shocking to win twice.”

While most fans of online casinos in UK are dumbfounded by the Long’s luck, David Long said that he knew all along that he’d win a second £1 million EuroMillions jackpot.

“I always knew I’d win, even the first time. I just had a feeling it was going to be me. I tend to play when I know there are lots of prizes on the go. Last time I knew I had a good chance because there were 100 prizes of £1 million. Last Friday night I was passing the local shop and saw there were 10 £1 million prizes on EuroMillions and a nice car and thought yeah, I’ll give that a go.”

Listening to his gambling intuition definitely paid off!

Philadelphia is the Saddest Pro Sports City in the USA

Nov 27, 2015 - by Katrina P.
bad teams in Philadelphia

Beautiful (and sad) Philly…

Given that Philadelphia has some of the most caring and loyal fans out there, this news is going to hurt: Philadelphia is currently the most depressing pro sports city in the USA.

If you’re an American pro sports city, you’re likely to have one or two major sports league teams that aren’t up to snuff. So what do you do when you’re in the situation that Philadelphia is currently in, in which all of your teams are doing incredibly poorly?

Don’t believe us? Let us count the ways.

NFL: The Philadelphia Eagles were humiliated on Thanksgiving Thursday after losing to the Detroit Lions with an embarrassing 45-14 score. That game was their ticket to the NFC East, which made the loss especially hurt football fans and users of online sportsbooks in the US. Though it’s easy to see why they lost: they were horribly overmatched on both sides of the ball, and some of the Eagles played like they weren’t even trying.

NBA: The Philadelphia 76ers have said for what feels like over a decade now that fans have to be patient, that they’re in the middle of rebuilding their team into something great that the pro sports city will be proud of. Why not just be honest and admit it’s not happening? While there is some good young talent on the team, such as Nerlens Noel, Nik Stauskas, and Jahlil Okafor, General Manager Sam Hinkie has no talent for organizing and putting together a team that actually plays well together. And if the 76ers keep going downhill, Hinkie is going to lose all the young stars that are keeping the threadbare team together—and the fans who like to bet on sports in US watching.

NHL: The Philadelphia Flyers are good guys, and they mean well, but they’re still ranked second-to-last for the Metropolitan Division and for fewest wins in the entire 2015/16 NHL, and are at the bottom of all NHL hockey betting lines. Allison J. of Broad Street Hockey summed up fans’ feelings about the Flyers perfectly: “The Flyers kinda suck, yes. But they are like the sweet, adorable new puppy that pees in your shoes. You love them anyhow.”

MLB: Things are bleak in Citizens Bank Park. The Philadelphia Phillies have won the fewest games of all pro sports city teams this year. They failed to qualify for the 2015 World Series, and given that they’re currently the joke of major league baseball and in the process of a massive team rebuild, it’s looking like they won’t qualify for the 2016 World Series, either.

Given that it’s just one bleak prospect after another for this pro sports city, we hope that things get sunnier in Philadelphia and fast.
